Yesterday the YSU athletic website announced that Bohannon had signed his letter of intent.  If Butler was moving in at the last minute, that is very good news.  Reinforces the fact that this kid can play.

Nice recruit.   Imagine what a coach who can recruit can do

You've got that right.  If you have your choice of me coaching and Mike Krzyzewski recruiting, OR Krzyzewski coaching and me recruiting, trust me, take me coaching.  You HAVE to have players.  (neither option would be "ideal," afterall Coach K is getting older!  Just turned 70)

Michael Akuchie 6-8 from St Thomas Aquinas Ft Lauderdale fl is our newest verbal.  He's only about 185 lbs.  Just watched his video and he showed a good handle and someone who likes to run the floor.

Looks more like 165 lbs. and will need to add some strength, but moves well, handles well, nice shooting touch, we can wait a year for the weight room to "do it's thing."   You can't teach 6-8

The team is going to be athletic, that's for sure. Up and down the court. Love it.

Also if anybody didn't see. WKBN got granted access to practice and had coach mic'd up.

Nice!  One quote was "you should be running and dunking, and getting this place going"!  That is EXACTLY what is needed.  Opening practice, wearing a mic.  That is MARKETING his program!  This guy gets it.  We can only hope some of the sports adminstration was listening.

That was the first time the local media was allowed access to a men's basketball practice in over 10 years.... Slocum did not allow them before. I love this guy and his staff. Bright things ahead for the program!!

If he is good enough for The Chief, the guy must be something special.

Going out on a limb and projecting this recruiting class as the one to win our league and get us to the NCAA's....i don't anticipate any transfers because Calhoun's style of ball will allow playing time for all....do we keep that last schoolies or find a 2 guard now to replace Morse...kinda thought we'd get a transfer to sit a year then slide into Cam's spot or a transfer pg to fill Santiago's

jbags,I'm still hoping for someone with a little bit of size to help in the post.  Devin Haygood fills the role but there's no one else on the roster and he gets into foul trouble.
