As I’ve noted before, after being a fan since the 1970s, I don’t necessarily mind the losing. Any program will ebb and flow.

I don’t even mind the AD’s extreme incompetence. I can deal with the inexplicable Slocum and Heacock contract renewals and the Ticketgates…even though that involved direct lies to the public.

What the death blow to my fandom was the recruiting of a convicted rapist. F—- you YSU administration you f—-ing scumbags. Go suck a bag of d—-s.

Yet, here you are...on the YSU Fan Forum spewing your BS like your buddy on the other website.  Clearly you weren't dealt a death blow....cause you're still here and have YSU in your name.  If you have such disdain for the "F****** YSU Adminstration, them F****** scumbags", then move along!!!  You're not needed here!!!  Get over yourself dude.

This is getting ridiculous.  The kid screwed up.  I don't know him.  May be a one time thing or he is a bad kid.  I don't know.  He went to court.  Was tried.  Was convicted.  Served his time.  Finished high school.  Enrolled in college for a year. Then tries out for football.  This is how the system works. 

This is big news because it was a crime against a women.  Had it been the other way around no one would care.  Both are equally bad but society glorifies guys when raped by older women. 

The problem I see if you don't give these people a second chance then what?  Cant go to school.  Cant get a job.  Turn to crime.

Keep a close eye on the kid.  Zero tolerance for any issues.  He screws that up put him in prison for the rest of his life.

This is what kills me about you and EVERYONE else who signed it.

But it is OK with all of you that he can walk around the campus as a NON "Student-Athlete" and go to class EVERY ******* DAY OF THE WEEK.  Are you people ******* SERIOUS? 

And he can walk around this country with a big "Y" on his shirt or a  "YSU" on his shirt and that's NOT bringing any negativity to the university because he was in juvy for 12 months?  Once again, ARE YOU ******* KIDDING ME???

Either way, he's repping YSU....pick the acceptable one.....WTF!!!!!

I don't get your point.  He can buy a damn YSU shirt anywhere.  He can buy a Cowboy shirt anywhere too, does that mean he represents the Cowboys?
You make a policy, you publish the policy, you fairly and consistantly enforce the policy.  ANYTHING ELSE THE UNIVERSITY DOES IS CRIMINAL DESCRIMINATION!  This kid plays or his YSU expericence is going to make him a lot of money.  Must be a lawyer on the blog somewhere, you want a chance to rep Richmond if YSU throws him out?

That is my point....exactly!!!  There are people on this website and a certain other one (AGS) who are claiming that this is bad press for YSU. I have not seen anyone say something to the effect of or complain to the President of YSU about removing him from campus.  Guess why???  Because YSU can't legally remove him from the campus.  He's done nothing wrong to this point. 

Mark my words....if this kid is removed from the football team for ANY reason now.  The NAACP, Civil Liberties Union, Rev's Al and Jesse will populate YSU like stink on sh**. 

I'm not about anarchy in any way.  My point was, removing him from the football team at this point does absolutely nothing.  Hopefully, he has been conveyed a VERY CLEAR set of rules to follow with NO exceptions.  The most minor breakage of said rules results in dismissal.....IMMEDIATELY.

Any word on how many YSU fans were at the game?  I never did get a chance to look while the game was going on.  Seemed to easily be 4k+ from all the Red/White I saw walking around.

Look, add me to the list of "not being a Shane Montgomery fan."  But this particular game had absolutely NOTHING to do with his game plan or whether he failed to adjust.  YSU ran into a BUZZ SAW named James Madison University.  And they are VERY good.

The offensive line was overmatched from the first drive on, special teams was weak again and the secondary was not very good.  People can sit here and talk and b**** about all of this and it really doesn't matter.  They got beat....on Saturday, 6 Jan 2017 they weren't the better team.  Am I disappointed....ABSOLUTELY.  Am I proud...ABSOLUTELY.

I was there, I watched that game live.  I watched that OL walk off the field multiple times with their heads down.  They didn't quit, but knew they were overmatched.  sh** happens, deal with it!!!!

Drop it and go to the game?  Are you kidding me?  There are plenty of tickets available?  I wanted/intended to sit with the group of 7 that I will be attending with.  But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I can't because the Athletic Department chose to not worry about me.....the fan....the 30+year season ticket holder.  DROP IT???  Screw you!!!

Agreed!!  But this coaching staff deserves their shot.  Another BIG game next Saturday.  And SDSU has 1 loss as well.

I don't understand how they could have reversed the 2pt conversion.  IF they would have said his knee was down....I wouldn't complain.  And unless their replays are totally different then what was shown on ESPN3, impossible for them to overturn the that play.
