« on: December 22, 2016, 10:08:08 AM »
anyone know where i can find who has verbaled to us for the class to be freshman next year? NSD is 10 weeks away, so we should have a pretty good idea on our class

ive heard rumors that Bowden kid from harding has grade troubles, would be fun to see if he can get into ysu and see if we can pull him for a steal.

Offensive lineman were the real "skilled" players this year, w/o their blocking (pass and run) we wouldn't be in the national championship.  Wells benefited from their protection and the running backs excelled because of their run blocking.  Pelini should go after "elite and athletic" offensive lineman for the future....

gotta be more than that, unless this staff just doesnt recruit. only 7 kids almost into January, is doubtful.

We know this because the players announced their intentions.  Our coaches can not mention any recruits by name until they sign.  There are undoubtedly many more that we do not know about.  Be patient.  Last year Pelini could only offer promise; this year he can market results.

I have heard some rumblings about a couple JUCO players as well, and I'm sure with the connections the Pelini brothers have, we will get an FBS transfer or two.

Not to mention this years success will translate to the 2018 class, not so much this coming 2017 class.

We need JUCOS. I suspect there will be a lot of transfers (I include JUCOs as transfers).

How many kids red-Shirted this year?
I know the LB that transferred in from Rutgers did after he got a concussion.
I would expect some transfers for OL and DB's

My nephew is on the team and he told me on Christmas that we have a Wide out coming in from O.State! And remember the name of Braxton Chapman, he is definitely bigger than 195, more in the 210-215 range already and he is still 17yrs old! Alot of fans want a big back and he will certain be that in the future, he is coming off a ACL injury so he may red-shirt next year, but remember I said look out for this kid in the future! Check his hudl highlights out when you get a chance... He is also a straight A student!

He chose an FCS school in the Natty over teams in the G5, where there is no hope for a Natty...unless....

Maybe the NEC, Patriot, MEAC, and Pioneer should have their own playoff too. Seriously if the G5 wants to have a shot at the playoffs, then drop to FCS....although some won't even have a shot there either.

The talk of their own playoffs is probably worthy of its own thread. Bottom line is that all those loser schools seem to want their cake and eat it too. They want to be BIG TIME and play real football against the big boys ( for the money ) but when reality strikes and they realize that they are not big time they want some crumbs thrown their way.

Well maybe he didn't want to commit to military service. Usually they offer guys with really good grades but are average athetes.
