1-AA, when this idiot attacks respected posters like Indy and Wick, it's time to take action. There's no room for this crap. What's going to happen is people are just going to stop posting here and this site will wind up like the other one did and die a slow death. Your move.

How many times have you called people names just because you don't agree with their opinions?  Why do you get a pass?

I haven't been to a game since the 2006 playoffs, but remember seeing how small the band had gotten.  Is it still like that?  It seemed like there was only 50 members in it.  Back in the 90's there were 175-200 easy

I've been looking forward to a YSU-Dayton matchup for a long time.  There was a Dayton fan who posted on here from time to time who was very confident Dayton could play with or even beat YSU.  I tried to explain to him that the top tier DIII teams would beat Dayton since that's what they basically are.

Lil brother's defense will be one of the better ones in the B1G, but their offense is very average especially with the loss of Leveon Bell.  They just lost 2 starters on the offensive line.  They do have big physical receivers, but Maxwell was just named the starter after battling to keep his job from last season.  YSU will have to play flawless on offense and grind it out and try to wear down MSU's D.  MSU will win by 21+

Especially after he maxed out in the strength component at the combines. I think he actually won the bench competition.

He tied for 2nd, but still very impressive

I'm willing to bet IP wouldn't call anybody names to their face.  He's just a cyber bully, although he might try to swing his cane at you or run you over in his motorized scooter

Never heard of this tournament..... Ever
Good. Stay home.

I see you're still an asshat.  Do you have to make a smartass remark to everyone?
Yes I am still an asshat. And yes I make smartass remarks to those who earn them. Like you. Now go back to working on your truck.

Wow that one hurt.  You should have been banned a long time ago.  You contribute nothing to this board but insults to other posters.

You two Einstein's got any ideas as to where the money comes from? University continues to cut athletic budget. Care to contribute?

Ed Reese, Muransky and Lariccia, Camardo and Berstling

Muransky is already a big booster at Michigan and dumping his money there.  Why would he contribute more to YSU?

Football has changed the past 15 years.  But for some reason fans of the football program still haven't got off the high of beating Mcneese St. 10-9.  We would struggle in the MAC.  Kent would beat us like a drum. and yes we would beat Akron again and again.  College sports is about revenue and exposure and the MAC would give us that more than the MVC or playing Lehigh in a playoff game at their place in front of 3K.  The Tressel era was awesome but just like the dinosaurs its time to move on.

Well said, totally agree

Discman. We belong in the MAC more now than ever, although that will not be the case soon. Look at how much Marshall dominated the MAC, and cried because a plane crash would not bring them the respect of the Mountaineers in their home state. Now they are nothing in a nothing conference.

Now look at Appy State. They beat the worst Michigan team that will EVER take the field in my lifetime ...and they are still talked about. Now we can beat Michigan State next year, Illinois the next, and OSU in '15 ...and no one will care. except for the fans of those teams.

Valpo was the first mbb "Cinderella" and the one everyone remembers, there are no others. if you are in i-aa/fcs for recognition ...forget it.

Ok, no doubt Appy St beating Michigan was a huge upset.  But to say that was the worst Michigan team in your lifetime is absurd.  Michigan started the season #5, finished 2nd in the B1G that year, and beat Urban Cryer and his boy Tebow in the Cap One Bowl.  Now, from 2008-2010 are by far the worst teams in Michigan history under RichRod (15-22 overall,3-9 in '08).

I agree with Discman about YSU and the MAC.  YSU couldn't beat half the teams in there right now.  They'd pretty much be cellar dwellers in the MAC

Being a former member of the 910th AW Public Affairs office.  I can tell you it's not as easy as one might think to get a flyover.  The one I was a part of came off in the last minute as direct result former Congressman Traficant's efforts.  There is a lot of paperwork and red tape involved.  Sometimes it takes months in advance to get the proper paper work filed.  My advice is for YSU to contact the 910th AW Public Affairs Office to get the wheels in motion for that type of event. and do it soon if in fact that is what you want for next season's opener or any other game. If you're going to do this I would also advise invited the 910th honor guard to do the pre-game festivities, recruiters, and a singer from the base to sing the National Anthem.  Also, see if you can make it an Air Force Reserve Appreciation Day, and invite the base's reservists for a discouted price on tickets sold at the base.  Believe me for the 1997 game against Kent St.  -(YSU 44-23) winners-it was a beautiful event for those of you that can remember and were there!  I was on the field taking photos for the event!  One of the best days of my life being a YSU grad (1984) and AF reservist. (1984-2009).

Thanks for your service, my first year at YARS was 1997 and I went to the Kent game.  If I remember right it was a sellout.  I'm retiring May 1 after almost 16 years at YARS, 4 years active duty before that.

B1G going to a 9 or 10 conference schedule in a couple years when Maryland & Rutgers join.  No more FCS teams on B1G team schedules

Vinopal's true level as a player was MAC/FCS.  shocked when he got the ride to Michigan.

I agree Vinopal wasn't talented enough for the big time, but actually started a couple games (due to injuries and depth) and actually was very good in run support from his safety position.  His cover skills were well....poor.  He lacked the size and speed.  He was a late addition to the 2009 class, the Michigan coaches (Rodriguez & co) saw something, but then again they thought they were still coaching in the Big East.  Once Hoke arrived, Vinopal saw the writing on the wall and left

Maybe Strollo should go, he's the one that hires these coaches and keeps giving them extensions.  Why does he always get a pass?
