YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: Indians St week

Phillips has a staff that has no business coaching at this level.  He has nothing but GA assistants from other programs that are failing miserably.

Phillips said he believes the team is really good!?!?!.   So if the team is really good should we blame the coaching staff for the 1-4 record?  I thk at this point there are more appropriate descriptions.  Like "we are getting better every week and coming to together as a team". ??????

Next week is likely our last chance to get a 2nd win of the season.  Too bad Murray State wasn't on the schedule for 2024.

Whats perfectly hilarious is a HOME loss to Duquesne in front of a raucous 8k crowd at Stambaugh Stambaugh.  Only to be followed up with a 73-17 drubbing at Pitt!  You apologists can drink all the kool-aid u want.

In a sick twisted way Narduzzi may have done us favor.  The man exposed just how bad YSU Football is right now.  It was an eye opener for everyone in involved.

Just read that the Mountain West Commissioner notified the MAC Commissioner their interest in Northern Illinois and Toledo for football only.  The 3rd school is Texas State.

I think Phillips is a good guy.  Hopefully, he asked Pat if he felt better when they met at midfield.  None of it changes the fact that YSU football is in a serious decline.

He might be a good coach but he's not a good Head Coach for YOUNGSTOWN STATE FOOTBALL.  If money is an issue and we can't compete in  recruiting , NIL and coaching hires then the AD and Penguin Club need to come clean.   If u ask me its an excuse to protect someone's job.  All the while the program continues the downward spiral and spend $$$$ millions to lose to Duquesne and attendance is non existent.  How long will current sponsors continue to waste money to have no one attend games in Stambaugh?  The issue is bigger than Phillips and Strollo.  Someone needs fix it!!!!

Everyone else is experiencing the same challenges.  These excuses don't work for me.  Phillips is a people pleaser.  Who would hug Narduzzi after he made him look so bad?  Does he have any self respect?  He should never have been hired as the head coach.  Moreover STROLLO SHOULD HAVE NEVER EXTENDED HIS CONTRACT.  Where are the details of the EXTENSION?

What is the significant athletic donation?  Was it the Zoldens donation for Beeghly?  Are there details?

Phillips is 100% correct when he says YSU is a developmental program.   He is the biggest project t of all in the program.  Let's not forget a was a teacher/administrator in Salem.   His experience never warranted his hire.  Especially under the current conditions of college football.    Then the AD extends his contract???  We were fortunate to make the playoffs last year.  Name recognition and a regional opponent with the potential for attendance got us in. Period end of story.  No doubt it was our best team.under Phillips but nothing great. Its frightening cause this program is close to extinction right now.  BTW where is the $$$$$ man from Salem who was instrumental in Phillips hiring?  Is he the donor who made a significant contribution to the athletics department?  Are there any details regarding the donation?

No moral victories here folks.  We just lost 73-17.  This program is in shambles.

I would say scoring 6 TDs on the first 6 possessions says enough!
