YSU Penguin Athletics / YSU @ NDSU

Well, 2 weeks away! Sunday Feb 21. 
*NDSU had a State Wrestling Tournament to go around & they thought a stand alone sunday game might intrique some NFL sunday fans*

sounds like 9500 fans will be at the Fargodome.

NDSU lost QB Trey Lance, but Iowa St Transfer Zeb Noland will take over (he had a 300+ yard game vs Oklahoma 2 years ago, so he's very capable)

Lost some OL and RB to Western Kentucky.


I have no idea how YSU is looking, fill us in, is there any buzz about this game, or spring season in general?

#1 NDSU coming to town, I'm not going to post our accolades after our last 2 games, as they have been questionable at best.  We demand excellence!!

We had a great time tailgating with you guys 4 years ago, but can't make it.

YSU and BO will be fired up for this game and will come to play.

what you guys thinking?

This is the match up that will decide this game.

NDSU Defense has been on fire (yea cupcakes mostly, but still)
                                         plays yards  ypp   Td's   yards per game

NDSU with 3 td's allowed and 159 yards per game far and away crushes the fcs.


NDSU has their All American MLB Nic Deluca back,,, NG Nick Tanguay as well.


Maybe that's why BO is desperately trying to get hunter wells back, to add a wrinkle in the QB run game?

Congrats on the W.  . . . after all the smack talk from Jacksonville State last year and this year, we find it comical that they got Missouri Valley'd in the playoffs haha.

Don't know why we can meet up in Frisco???

1st place on the line, Fargodome Rockin, Bo Pelini getting Heckled, NDSU Defense playing amazing, NDSU offense barely sputtering..... should be a fun atmosphere.. any of you coming up??

Should be a good game, NDSU defense has something to prove with some new starters & Montana has a new offense, so it's gonna be interesting.

I think this FCS Kickoff thing is good for the division.

shocking to see YSU cheer against NDSU...... lol.

it was a great game, I personally was disappointed in the way NDSU's defense played and the conservatism of the offense (b4 halftime & in their 2nd to last drive when they were leading and did 3 straight runs)

However, NDSU is a culture of winning, its bred into these players, the night before 6 current NFL players for NDSU showed up to and 15 ex NFL alumni showed up to practice and talked to the players about winning a title.  it was pretty dam cool and I dont ever see FBS teams doing that.

its a Family. Tradition. Winning.

Well, word on the street was Nebraska was afraid to schedule NDSU (mostly because of coach bohl) but lookie here.... Bo came down to fcs to play the mighty bison!

in all seriousness, its great for fcs and mvfc and maybe just maybe we can all go FBS as a conference in 2015 or 2016?

Well, penquins you are 1 win at the unidump away from a top 5 matchup with NDSU for the title.
How will you overcome the 15,000......errr 9000 screaming panther fans?  (unless the Iowa hawkeyes play at the same time...ah nope they are at purdue noon). Whew, got lucky there.

Uni lost thier leading tackler vs NDSU and QB & RB yesterday, so who knows wht team will show up over there.

Ok Guys,  You guys will easily win the next few games and NDSU will beat ILL St.

So Lets talk the big #1 vs #5 game on Nov 16th.  (jinx are for no-hitters!)

NDSU should still have the upper hand with seniority & ability to just win!

YSU is surprising people with a great year & look to get back on top of the MVFC!

(We have a group coming down to Youngstown, and should be a good contingent of NDSU fans) so where shall we party on Friday night?

what a jerk... and patti v isnt far behind.  how in the HELL do you have your conference members and ARCH RIVALS play each other in the first round.......while  #2 EWU gets freakin Wagner.

NDSU leads 34-27 at half.

game started out all youngstown and looked like they'd run NDSU out of the gym, but NDSU pounded it down low to their bigs and played really good defense.

its NDSU's Homecoming, you wont find a ticket, ive seen some for $100/piece on craigslist.

NDSU owes YSU a beatdown because of last year
