Time for him to go! Itís been excuse after excuse. We have lost size and length since we lost Wolford.  His was looking to recruit the upper mid west because of the size of the lineman locally and in PA.  Itís too bad he had such a bad defense.  He could recruit real D1 kids.

I see nothing has changed at QB.  We canít keep anybody healthy since Coach Pelini has been here.  Why is that?

I think he played some tackle early in his HS career.  It is very alarming that we didnít recruit a tackle in the offseason.

I agree.  Basically the locals are their to build depth on the back end of
Roster.  I feel we are in big trouble on both lines and at the skill positions.  I hope I am wrong.

I keep hearing for 10 years that the MAC needs to move down.  Its not going to happen.   Sometimes I think we need to drop down to D2.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Marijuana testing for athletics

So it seems that the only time the NCAA tests for weed is championship events.  So does the university randomly test athletes and do they test the same as the NCAA.  When we had the suspensions the championship year could they have been prevented.

This would all change if they had 2 different divisions for Div 1 non revenue sports.  The economics of it is a no brainer.  Plus, it would give the kids a chance at something attainable. I donít want to hear I want to beat the best BS.  If itís good enough for HS sports it good enough for college.

In non revenue sports it makes sense. But if you feel fcs is watered do we then you are saying that fcs football is watered down.  Kinda stupid to send a tennis team made up maybe with 3 scholarships total for the whole team to share than playing an SEC school with what double or more in scholarships and coaches.  Plain stupid.

Itís a nice bonus for the girls team.  But why doesnít the NCAA do what the do fof football and have  FCS for some of the non-revenue sports.

Can you try his agent?

Akron was in a bowl game last year. Yea they got there a$$ kicked but they got exposure and if you think they would drop football after that really?.

The only changes that will be made is the lesser sports will be dropped or budgets reduced.  Football rules the roost and till the NCAA says nothing changes.

I laugh at how we still act like YSU is way to good to be a MAC member.  News flash:  The MAC is not going to break up.  Playing D1 football is where itís at and that is not ever changing.  We won 4 championships in FCS and has gotten us nothing but another side of a stadium that sits nearly half empty and we are in a football conference that we have no rivalries and a basketball conference that is a bottom feeder in the eyes of the NCAA.
When are you football diehards gonna see that people donít care that our conference is the SEC of FCS and the last time we we were truly relevant in football Clinton was President.  Maybe we need to drop down a division.  I love YSU and it hurts to say what I said but itís true.  We have lived of the past and that was like 25 years ago.  We have no identity in athletics in our community, the state of Ohio, or on the national college sports scene.  We had our chance and let it slip through our fingers.  Other teams we beat have parlayed it to get to D1 in football or moved or changed conferences like Loyola and Butler.  Till we find a better fit in football geographically or get into a conference where we compete in all sports we will have this fractured identity of a sports program.  If you think itís working it not.

Pelini seeís no value in it.

I have been out of loop since I moved to Texas.  I have watched a few games and I am watching the Cleveland st. Vs. Oakland semi final on ESPN. It is horrible basketball.  This league is a shell of itself since VALPO and Butler and Loyola left.  Playing in a nearly empty building and the announcers are bored silly.  If I was the NCAA i would take the bid away and make the champion play in. Thats how weak this league is now.
