Football might win one more. No way they get more then 4 wins.

Dont think basketball will be as good as they have been in years past but new coaches, new faces at least provide some optimism.

Just read that the Mountain West Commissioner notified the MAC Commissioner their interest in Northern Illinois and Toledo for football only.  The 3rd school is Texas State.

If so, YSU needs to go to MAC

I'm guessing we lose by 35-20. Somewhere in that range.

Too much whining going on.  I'd play Pitt every year if possible.  It's an easy drive and a great experience for our team and fans.  Perhaps we should put out a better team on the field.  If we had a respectful defense, the score would have been much better.  I can't wait to play them again.

Basically. If you don’t like it, then stop them.
Not to mention, teams can’t just win anymore. Teams get dropped in the ranks if they don’t win pretty so can’t blame them.

COACHING IS AN ISSUE.

Bad recruiting
Horrible game plans
No in-game adjustments

The program is in trouble.  Phillips talks a good game in interviews.  The program needs ENERGY bad!

FCS games in the dakotas will certainly spark interest! Not local rivalry games in the D1 MAC. That’s what I’m told

An opening game at home for the sixth-ranked team in FBS attracting only 5,400 is embarrassing.

But we keep being told the FCS is where we belong instead of the MAC.... LOLOLOL

I do not think that some MAC schools get that many butts in the seat.

Western Ill (lowest of the low in FCS) @ NIU: 10,828
Lafeyette @ Buffalo: 16,400
Fordham @ BGSU: 12,786
CCSU @ CMU: 18,055
Duqense @ Toledo: 23,515

i would say at least twice as many people care about the MAC more then the super irrelevant FCS

A top 25 matchup in the FCS cant even compete with Fordham at Bowling Green.

delusional is thinking staying in FCS a good idea. Enjoy irrelevancy and the and the 600 fans per game. Rather play on national TV a few games a year and get to a meaningless bowl game then play in a meaningless division for a meaningless playoffs they we wont ever win again either. Drop down to division II then for all that.

Going to the MAC would make us a little less irrelevant than we are now. As low as the MAC is in FBS it is still more relevant than FCS. The only game of the year FCS gets noticed is the money games. IAA championship on CBS made it seem relevant. FCS championship on ESPN2 opposite NFL playoffs not so relevant.

MAC gets a lot of nationally televised week night games during the season. Nobody thinks the MAC is relevant in terms of competing with big time FBS conferences but i would rather that irrelevancy that comes with some local rivalries and some national exposure then the nothingness that is the FCS.

What’s IRRELEVANT is FCS Football.  What’s Irrelevant is what has happened to the football program playing in a conference that the best we will ever finish is 3rd and once every 10 years maybe 2nd.  We either need to step up or drop down.  Staying where we are only destroys what little fan base we have.
