Exactly, 05 !!  Travis  Williams !!   Wolf has no problem starting #1 and #8, but we have no one as good or better ??  In fact, I don't understand how #8 started all these years.

The TWO biggest reasons for losing is ineffective ( or weak) players and poor coaching. Its O.K. to fake it over the course of the weenie games, but the reality games are just about to start.

Before we use up all of the tar and pitchforks, I believe it was said that Jimmie Kitchen still had a NCAA suspension (from Ga. Tech.) of 4 games to serve.
Makes sense.  Wolf should have just come out and said that.

No surprise on Childs; everyone throws at him. Bam is a going to be a great player.

Childs leads the team because he's getting thrown at so much lol. #1 and #8 are problems in the secondary and everybody knows it.

#1 tackles the receivers after giving up 10 yards each time. No wonder he is leading the team in tackles. #8 is always either out of position or miss the tackle. Hence, his number is lower. #1 couldn't find the ball and #8 couldn't find the man.
How these guys are still starting is beyond me.

I don't think what we are seeing has anything to do with the ability of the DBs. The DBs are being told to stay behind the receiver in order to avoid big gains. W. is willing to give up the 5-10 pass on the assumption that our opponents aren't able to keep this up an entire game. I don't know if this is because W. has no confidence in the DBs or he has some kind of phobia from his youth about big gains.

Either way, W. is running a high school defense, not a college one. In H.S. you can get away with this because most teams usually don't have enough talent at QB and ends to consistently hit short passes with light pressure. W.'s defensive strategy is good enough for the weenie games, but the better teams in the conference usually break his defenses with ease, which is why our opponents have such a high percentage of success on third downs.

It seems like the pass defense has been a little stouter in the middle this year, but it's hard to tell against the weenies. Also, if our DL from Georgia is a good pass rusher, it might be enough to alter the mix so that the soft coverage might work.

If Kitchen is as good as advertised it would definitely be a nice punch on the front with him and Rivers. We will see on saturday against a tough mizz state team. If anything it does add more depth to the front.

He got hurt Tuesday. I posted this Thursday night. Wolf said to Hannon he may very well not play due to the injury and he didnt. Nothing to make of it.

Well they played a very nice defensive game today without him. I hope the kid can play soon to add more depth to this defense.

Wolf told Hannon in the pre game show that he was going to play. Maybe they felt he couldn't go. Hopefully next week.
