Lady Penguins Beat Green Bay For Fifth Straight Win

The Penguins improve to 12-7 for the year while Green Bay is 2-19 and 1-3 in Horizon League play.
YSU earned the doubles point winning all three matches. At No. 1, YSU won 8-1, while at No. 2 the Guins won 8-4 and at No. 3 Annina Brendel at Tijana Raicevic cruised to a 7-0 win.
Sophomore Marta Burak picked up her school-record 22nd win of the year knocking off the Phoenix's Maria Anderson, 6-1, 6-0.
At No. 1 singles, Paula de Man continued her impressive season with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Amanda Timm to improve to 17-1 on the year.
YSU picked up singles wins at No. 2 as Margarita Sadovnikova beat Stephanie Londre 6-3, 7-6, at No. 4 Lauren Hankle knocked off Rebecca Nelson 7-5, 6-0 and Brendel beat Eleanor O'Brien 6-0, 6-2.
The Penguins close out their Wisconsin conference swing when they play at Milwaukee on Sunday morning.
