YSU Wins Second Straight Match Beating Seattle

The Penguins (8-5) won all three doubles match and five of six singles matches against the Redhawks of the Western Athletic Conference.
In doubles play, Sebastian Hagn and Dawould Kabli won a hard-fought 9-8 (4) decision at No. 1. At No. 2, Zeeshan Ismail and Rodrigo Campos picked up an 8-5 at No. 2 while Silviu Mistreanu and Felipe Rosa won an impressive 8-0 decision at No. 3.
Hagn moved up to No. 1 singles and had no problem beating Kevin Lynch 6-2, 6-0. At No. 3, Ismail defeated Ian Clare 6-4, 6-3 while at No. 4, Campos won in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 over Seattle's Kyle Rapp. At No. 5, Max Schmerin won for the second straight dual with a 6-1, 6-4 decision over Flavio Malagutti. In action at No. 6, Victor Theorin battled back to win in three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 over Jason Bediones.
The Guins conclude their Vegas swing with a match against Idaho State on Tuesday.
