YSU Rallies for 4-3 Victory in League Opener Over Detroit

After dropping the doubles point, YSU picked up wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 singles.
At No. 1, Silviu Mistreanu won 6-4, 6-3 over Alex Latosinksy; at No. 2, Sebastian Hagn beat Mike Basha 6-1, 6-3; at No. 4, Zeeshan Ismail beat Chris Cheung 6-2, 7-5 and at No. 6, Max Schmerin defeated Rafael Orantes 6-4, 6-2.
Schmerin was playing for the first time this spring for the Penguins.
With the win, YSU improves to 7-5 while the Titans are 4-9. YSU has won seven of its past nine matches.
The Penguins are now off to Las Vegas, Nevada, for a two-dual trip. YSU plays Idaho State on Monday and Seattle on Tuesday.
