CSU lived at the line in ot.  YSU was not going to get a call there.     This must be about the 4th game on the road that we were right there but not good enough.     Great battle and hopefully we can have some luck(calls) in the Hor tourney.

Halftime an we're down 27-19.   19 points for a D1 team at home is about as bad as it gets.    6 of 28 from the field and 0 for 9 from three.    Out rebounded 18 to 11 to a team that hasn't won a game in league play.

Tough loss, but Penguins battled.  Hopefully this doesn't turn into another pile on Slocum thread.  He had a masterful play after a time out that led to a three to send the game into O.T.   KP had a bad last minute and a half with turnover, foul and a missed foul shot.ftp://

I still can't believe how small the crowds are.   I remember in the 70s Beeghley was SRO for freaking Gannon.

You could put this down as a rumor.   I was told that Auggie Amone of Dr.Phillips HS Orlando fl might verbal to the Penguins.  Strong side DE in HS.

YSU achilles heel is size in the paint.   Hain's 6-10 but he's more of an offensive threat than a defense enforcer.  real excited about Keene's  20 pts against UMass on the road is impressive.  Going to be tough to repeat last seasons(which wasn't real awesome)  record unless one or two guys really step up whose name isn't Kendrick.

74-72 YSU in ot.   Glad to win a close one since we lost a few last year at Duquesne.

Looks like a red shirt to start college career.   Watched 3 of the videos and strength will be a problem.  Very raw.  Thought I would see a dunk in one of the videos ?   Nice length, hope his best b-ball is ahead of him.

Slocum has taken YSU from the bottom of the Horizon to the middle the last 2 seasons.  Penguins are a tough out for any conference teams and we could not have said that a few years ago.   Who would of thought YSU could defeat GW and Georgia in back to back games on the road ?      A few short years ago those games would have been ugly blowouts.    We're competitive but not yet a championship contender.   I'm trying to be positive but see 2 out of 3 losses in final 3 games.

Sitting here in sunny Florida I give any YSU coach credit for recruiting kids to Ytown.   Love Youngstown but let's be real.    The nucleus of Perry, Hain,Cole, and belin should be solid.  Hopefully the kid that RS from Indy along with the frosh coming in from Texas will give us fire power next season.

Jeff Covington is not walking through the door!

If the bench gives some production then they'll finish higher.  Conjnacki,Larson, and Cole need to be productive .   Belin is the X factor, hopefully he'll provide scoring and toughness.
