Nice get...now we need a point guard or two. More forwards as well.  I think we need 4 or 5 more to sign.

Agree.   

As of right now we have seven players on scholarship.

Both Depante and Fryda are listed as walk-ons.   Looks like there is room for 6 more players either from HS or the portal.  Need another pq at a minimum and probably two.   Power forward/muscle down low is a must.

Siem looks like he can shoot it from deep and from watching his video that he has a decent B-ball IQ.   Videos are deceiving but he looks like he can help.  Second on a 14-18 team in scoring at 13 pt a game and I read he set a school record his Jr year with 10 3s in a game.    Scored 24 vs  Robert Morris and 16 vs CSU last season.

Where are the signings for Men's basketball??  Any??

I probably shouldn't get impatient but I'm seeing other programs getting transfers and we're at zero.   I just saw that Tahj Staveske transferred  to CSU and he was a guy that I was hoping we would get.   I felt more secure in this process with coach Cahoun than I do with coach Falkner based on his past track record although I know Falkner deserves a chance an I hope to see it.

Last year on April 11th Ziggy and Zorgvol committed.     Farmer committed the next day.

April 23rd both DJ  Burns and Brett Thompson committed.

May 18th we got Langdon.

I'm thinking we should be getting some guys but from me it's only speculation.

Since March 25th thirteen IUPUI players have hit the transfer portal.   If they're all scholarship player and I'm not sure or not,that means that the whole team is gone.   Obviously the new coach is going to use the portal but I don't know how a program can recover from those numbers.

Oakland and Horizon league player of the year Trey Townsend is in the portal.  I guess Oakland didn't have the funds to keep him.   Can we say any H-league player that is under recruited and then develops is more than likely a stepping stone ?

Molinari is probably going to USU and not sure about the other two.  Coach Faulkner has a lot of work to do between recruiting and putting together a coaching staff.  Almost forgot he has to rerecruit the players from last season.

Bob Huggins 😂

I think Huggins would of been a disaster hire.  He's a great basketball coach but his baggage and the fact that he's 70 years old probably would of been a quick fix at best.
It's all about recruiting whether it's HS guys or portal and hopefully Ethan can be that guy.  Hopefully YSU has some NIL money because if not sadily you can't compete.

My vote is for Faulkner.

I 2nd that vote.   The guy has been at YSU five seasons so i'm sure he has established some ties and ralationships with the hs coaches through out the area.  Hopefully he can keep some of the guys while a new coach might cause an overall exodus. 
It seems it would be a easy transition and I'm hoping he can keep the momentum going.

It was a good run under coach C and I'm grateful that he came here and worked hard to get YSU to the top of the league.  I wish Jerrod the best of luck and success at Utah State.

My gut tells me that Ethan Faulkner might be the next coach and he was probably influential in getting Dynes,Adrian Nelson,and Langdon with his backround at N Kentucky.   Bottom line is can he recruit and navigate the transfer portal and the NIL game like Calhoun did.   Not sure if he has the Charisma that Coach C has but he might have other gifts that can lead the program.
