How did Cook look playing with the Browns?
« on: August 25, 2013, 09:10:19 AM »
I couldn't get the game last night since I live in Ga and didn't have time to make it to a Browns backer bar. I know the Browns were horrible, but did Cook look good?

I thought he looked decent.  Ran hard, caught a few passes out of the backfield.  Had a little trouble pass blocking mainly due to size/weight ratio.

I watched the entire game. He played almost the entire second half. His first run was over 10 years for a first down. It was called back because of holding. He did well in running the ball. He also caught all 3 passes thrown to him. He did not miss any blocking assignments.
I looked up the stats. In the game, he led the yards/run average at 5.5 and he also had the most pass receptions (3).

Unfortunately, because of the number of backs on the team, I don't think he will make the team. Hopefully, he would make the practice squad.

I think he might make the team, then be transferred to the DL or practice team when the two injured backs return. I thought he looked very good overall, but agree with his pass-blocking skills. However, the defenders were coming in untouched, then Cook quickly squared his shoulders and hit them again.

Kosar did not forget his home town. The camera followed Cook (with closeup) on the sideline while Kosar commented that Cook was from the Penquins of Youngstown State couple of times.
