 24 does seem more natural than 20, but I think we are in danger of the FCS becoming college basketball. I like the playoffs, but I don't want the regular season to become too devalued. 24 gives byes to the top 8, which is nice, but I really hope we don't ever go to 32.

when they went to 20, they were supposed to go to 24, should have. 24 teams allows you to reward the conference and regional champs ...as it should be. There should be 8-teams with a bye. The 8 conference winners. The former auto-bid conferences. The remaining 16 begin the tourney.

I agree with going to 24 over 20, I'm just worried they will eventually go to 32.

Could not have been said any better!

I do not agree with expansion of the play-off, but if you are going to do it ...24 is better than 20.

Indy, why not?  Liberty has been to the FCS playoffs so often and enjoyed so much success, they have nothing further to prove.  O wait, never mind....

Seriously, why schools aspire to leave a system with a national playoff for status as a "Big-Time" joke continues to be beyond my comprehension.

Liberty is still without a home though, right? They still need to convince the Sun Belt or the MAC to take them, most likely.
