DQ in starting the starting lineup & GB without 2 of their top players.

Horrible start down 16-4 at the first media timeout.

Trailing 40-39 at the half.  YSU has now trailed in 6 of their 8 games at half. 

Same old story...no defense.  There's no reason YSU shouldn't be up double figures on this team.

- Naz with 32 and 12
- DQ playing through bad ankle  and might linger all season.
-Myles Hunter latest frosh getting deep playing time and looked good.
-Not sure about teams identity with different guys in and out of the rotation.
-Need to be ready to counter GB's adjustments for tomorrow's game.

YSU wins 84-77.  Much needed win but YSU was a much better team and the game shouldn't have even been close.  Defensive struggles just continue. 

Naz was nearly unstoppable putting up 32 points and 12 rebounds, but missed 6 FT.

DQ still doesn't look like himself.  Obviously the ankle was still hindering him.  Just 4-8 from the line.

Akuchie's struggles continues.   He failed to score and has scored just 10 in the last 3 games. 

Thought Myles Hunter had a nice game with 8 points and 6 rebounds.

Game 2 was not good.  poor foul shooting and periods when they can't score caught up to them.

Totally out-hustled in this game, poor FT shooting & poor defense.  This team is a shell of itself from last year.  There were some opportunities to get up on GB & YSU just didn't take advantage of it either missing shots, missing FT, turnovers, fouls, etc.  YSU just for whatever reason can't get off to fast starts and hasn't played well in the first half of games.  And the ending of this game was terrible.

There's really no excuse YSU isn't 4-2 in the league & instead sits at 2-4 with 4 on the road against Wright State and Oakland.

The defense is as bad as it was during Calhoun's first two years.  How could this happen? If a team has sufficient talent (and we do) then bad defense is 100% the result of lack of effort.  That is disgusting.  Oh well, 48 days until kickoff....potentially, hopefully, possibly, maybe.
