We missed a golden opportunity by not playing any Fall ball!
« on: September 19, 2020, 06:53:45 PM »
I see countless schools on  National TV playing from our division.  We would have been in TV every week,  exposure, etc. Bad decision.  Kudos to the schools that are playing!  Plain ridiculous and if the conference forced us not to play wtf.  The conference has rarely done us any favors from scheduling and getting us in the playoffs when we were a bubble team!

You can not blame Strollo or Tressel.  We held on until the MVFC pulled the plug on conference games. This still might work out.  With no pandemic, Phillips was headed for a 2-9 season, winless in the conference. Now with extra months to work with his players, perhaps he can go 3-5 in the spring. That would be a huge step forward.

Of course it is going to be our opponent that draws the media coverage and we did not have any real games scheduled, that would draw media attention. What, even if it was the only game being played, do you think that anyone would dream of coverage of YSU vs. Kent? Let's just hope that there is no reschedule. If we are going to be scheduling these ridiculous money games, at least schedule someone.
