The Youngstown State baseball program will host its First Pitch Breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 6, at The Embassy in Boardman. In addition to the breakfast and featured speaker Ferguson Jenkins, there will be various autographed bats, signed jerseys, event tickets and other miscellaneous items up for auction.
Doors will open at 7:45 a.m. with the buffet beginning at 8:30 and the program commencing at 9. Tickets are still available, ranging from general admission tickets being $20 apiece, and reserved seats being 30 each. There are corporate and family tables available for $500, which includes 10 breakfast and raffle tickets, premium seating at the event, recognition on YSUsports.com and a custom Jenkins autographed item. Premium reserved tables are also available for $300.
Jenkins is a Baseball Hall of Famer who won the Cy Young Award in 1971. He starred for the Chicago Cubs for most of his career, and he also pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox from 1965-83.
