Show me the data IAA. All those programs you mentioned are heavily subsidized by student fees to the tune of 50-73%. Ysu is also in that range. The detailed data that I have found I admit is dated show all those programs lost money on there football operations.

The dirty little secret of mid major athletic programs is that none of their programs make a profit and that includes football. Football generates plenty of cash flow but not nearly enough to cover the great expense of a football program. The big revenue generator at most schools at our level is the student fees that flow into the programs that keep them in the black. Lets bury the mith that football funds the other sports. Football doesn't fund itself!

Lets-Talk- agree with your rant. With the same commitment as football the basketball programs would be competitive in the league every year. The return on investment in basketball is always so much greater than football.

The biggest problem today is that I watched 55 min of absolutely horrible basketball. That's the third game in a row that the team is just going through the motions. Reminds me of the three games in Pittsburgh.

The YSU women's basketball team defeated Wright St last night at the Nutter center 67-46. Another good win on the road. They are now 15-5. Least we all forget this team also beat Pitt this season. This team has earned more attention.

The ysu women defeated UIC 67-54 last night. They are now 14-5 and 4-2 in the league. I thought they deserved some recognition for their efforts! Btw there is great track and field meet taking place at the WATTS today and tomorrow. Ysu competing against 7 other teams in their invitational. There is other things around here other than football the black hole of our athletics.

I agree that the officiating was absolutely horrible! I watch a lot of basketball. Hand checking is permitted as long as it does not impede the progress of the offensive player. That was not the case last night. It was constantly utilized on our perimeter players and very seldom called. If refs don't call it it will be continued to be used.
Btw having a Valpo fan call our place a dump is a little like a person living in a glass house throwing stones. Have

We do a very poor job of defending the 3 pt line! We feel compelled to double down on the man in the low post and leave players undefended on the perimeter for the easy three. Not against the double team but you must be conscience of who is being unguarded on the perimeter.

There were members of the committee who were reluctant to even have sdsu included in the playoffs!! Our AD went to the mat in support of sdsu. No respect for our conference. Btw how is ndsu getting screwed! Could it be that you realize that sdsu is at this moment playing the best football in our conference? :-))
