I just finished listening to the raw audio which was about 30 minutes long and i have to say it wasnt at all what i expected as reported by the media.  I expected a profanity laced tirade with loud volume and screaming and kicking trash cans etc.  in reality, while i didnt tally each and every word, there were about a dozen curse words used at most...in 30 minutes.  From my perspective the media projected the F word or P word every five seconds.  Now...i believe in curse words.  Lol.  There is a clear difference when saying "can you stop that please" vs. "can you fu*king stop?"   IMO the first wont likely get the same results as the latter.  Yes he did call the AD names but never once did he scream or yell.  I would relate it to a conversation about any number of topics while drinking a few beers with a buddy in my living room.  I realize that doesnt make any of it right or acceptable as the face of a football program.  But still i must say it really wasnt that bad.  The biggest problem, for me, was that Bo's comments and overall agenda was childish.  Let it go dude.  You didnt like them and they didnt like you.  It sucks.  I get it.  But you have to get over it.  Especially since he has been around a long time and seen a lot of stuff (as he pointed out a couple times.) i honestly wouldnt even categorize this as a rant.  I dont know, yes these are MY thoughts and everyone has a right to have their own opinions but i did expect to hear much worse.  With that said, he does need to grow up a bit and learn a little humility and just relax.  I dont mind the cursing, but just chill out buddy.

Ok so on a bit of a lighter note now that the last 7 days have finally culminated in an answer.  I need something else to consume my thoughts now. Can we seriously get new uniforms?  Something that is actually representative of the 2010's!!!  I know there was talk some time ago about never going to BLACK and our colors are red and white but Under Armour needs to hook us up.  We need an update...we need a spark...we need to begin something new.  One part of that was accomplished today...please give us new uni's!!!!

I dont know how to feel about this.  I can't for the life of me figure out why he would come here.  I haven't posted but have read every comment for weeks.  I still don't get it.  I also can't help but to immediately think about the future as in how long does he stay?   And then we have to do this all over again.  I dont know...just very hesitant about this from every angle.

I guess there are two ways to define or discuss "improvement."  Did Wolf's wins and losses get better than Heacock?   Yes=improvement.  Did Wolford get us into the playoffs more often than Heacock?  No=no improvement.  Did wolford get us into the playoffs?  No=no improvement.

Correct. Current players who may transfer out and recruits who may change their mind make next year problematic. Those who say we have talent and what's the worst that can happen b firing Wolf and the staff may get a liberal education as to how athletics really work at this level. If the program does collapse you are looking at years getting back to where we are with losing program and no where near layoffs for a while IF YSU recovers.  Should get real interesting, lol

Where exactly is our program now?   The worst that can happen is more years under Wolf where we dont make the playoffs.  No one likes change.  You never know what the next man will bring.  But i can tell i am less afraid of this change than a future with Wolford.

Ohio, sorry to see you go. IMO, there is absolutely no reason for anyone on this board to NEED any previous playing or coaching experience to KNOW that if you can't make the playoffs then you can't coach here.  Pretty simple. Also, i don't believe it matters where a person lives or has lived to understand what the expectations are at YSU.  Again i think its pretty simple:

Mr. Candidate,

Don't pay too close attention to those Championship Banners...we know that was quite special and perhaps not easy to duplicate.  However, i would like you to answer the following questions:

Question 1.  How many times did YSU make the playoffs in the 1990's?
Question 2.  How many times did YSU make the playoffs in the 2000's?
Question 3.  How many times did YSU make the playoffs since 2010?
Question 4.  How many times did the two previous coaches make the playoffs?
Question 5.  Any questions???

I could go on and on, Red, about how lucky this QB is. The number of  dropped INTs , the overthrown balls, those throw into the dirt at the receivers feet from 5-10 yds. away , the control Montgomery keeps over him confining him to short throws , and being fooled on the D disguising the coverage or blitzes, it's been a lucky trip. However, the league is reading him well now. Besides being a Frosh,  his limited skills are coming home to roost. But I'll continue to read about how great he is. It will be a sad place around here for awhile until people catch on and his luck turns. Cheers!

I suppose I could ALSO go on and on about every point you made but in the opposite direction too.  You basically "what if'ed" his entire game.  If you are going to what if Hunter then you MUST what if every position of every team of every game. Now, i am not going to dub him the GOAT.  But, Balls are overthrown by every quarterback every game, regardless of age.  INT's are dropped by every DB in every game regardless of age.  We could also go on and on about "lucky" plays and players and games every hour of every Saturday of every football season.  Again, not saying he is the GOAT but c'mon man.

While i understand both sides of the debate...in my opinion "we" are the laughing stock of the country anyway.  We make a list as the worse place to live and then another list as one of the best places to raise a family.  Uhhhhhhh...make up your mind.  Who cares what the rest of the country thinks?!?!  I think what is MORE laughable is the "right guy" with the "right qualifications" left after a few months.  The country laughs at us regardless of OUR choice in YSU president.  Let them laugh from a distance...they wouldn't come here and don't want to come here anyway. So once again i say, who cares what THEY think!!!  The only thing that matters is what WE think and what OUR opinion is.  And at this point, the vast majority of OUR opinion seems to be in favor of the hire.

I'm sorry but i have to say this...and i get that he is the homer radio guy here.  But honestly, his facial expression and inflection when he says "cheated" is over the top.  It is more appropriate to say emphatically that YSU AND TRESSEL BROKE THE RULES and got away with it. However, cheat is too strong of a word and IMHO not even close to accurate. 

 Cheating by definition is
1.  To act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, esp. in a game..."  I'm pretty sure that Ray's car didn't give him any unfair advantage while he handed the ball off or threw a pass.  PERIOD!!!  Belichek stealing plays or spying to help win you a game is cheating...getting a free car is NOT!!!

Am i happy about the deception or the lying by anyone in this case...NO!   Should they have been punished more severely...YES!!!  Call him/them liars or dishonest or whatever...but cheaters is ridiculous.

Certainly the gameday crew coming to YSU is a longshot at best.  However, other than the team and coaches, why cant we the fans do whatever we want?  Why cant we look to next week?  I love the comments by bison fans saying WE/THEY need to focus on winning the next three weeks and getting seeded and they can no longer worry about this off the field stuff.  As if THEY actually will take part in the game.  For the rest of us, who cares if we as fans look to next week.  Who cares if gameday comes here.  I tell you what i do care about...the fact that there is more buzz going on over YSU FOOTBALL in the last 48 hours than in anytime in at least the last year.  And thats good enough for me.
