BRANDON LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITY

One of the more underrated quarterback prospects in Ohio for the class of 2016 is Westley Brandon, of Watkins Memorial. He has been impressive this summer at various camps, and is awaiting his first offer.

What pisses me off it seems like any QB after Ryan seems to never improve.  Wells from Last year to what we have this year is a different QB.  He seemed to go threw his reads better and not lock on like he has done this year.

Other than Davis, can run, what are you guys seeing, I must be missing something.  He has been here 3 yrs.  Does he know the offense? Is he accurate in practice.  He didn't beat out Dante last year.  We have seen this time and time again, Zwick, Street, etc.  if I was the coach I see a guy we could plug in at WR.  Or RB. There has to be a reason why the Coaching staff lacks trust in him to throw the ball.

You have to give some credit to the players and the coaching staff.  They could have gave up after last week.  We went on the road and we took to overtime. We could easily have 2 more wins instead of 2 gut wrenching losses.  I do like the fact that Monty was calling plays from the field instead of upstairs. We have 4 more games if we can win 3 we can build on next year.  But I saw 100% effort last night I applaud them for that.  This team lacks playmakers on both sides of the ball and whatever scheme we are going to run either recruit that type of player that fits or change the scheme to fit your talent.  Pelini is an upgrade from Wolford I more ways than one.  We are 7 games in and it will take some patience.

We had the game won at 31-20 go early in the 4th qtr.  Then the wheels came off.  Montgomery went into his in prevent offense.  Instead of what got them the lead.  Wells is a vertical passing QB and the Salukis got burnt time and time again.  They had no answer to our passing came.  We had a 56% pct 3rd down conversion percentage vs their 42%.  We lost the game on that Stupid jailhouse blitz midway through the 4th qtr. Which tourched us for a long td.  Then the punting came was atrocious.  I like they put Davis in.  But They ran that to the ground.  Jody Webb needs to be called out too He is a fumbler.  Then that last play call with the trick play was a gem.  That is where Davis should have been.  I blame this game on Montogomery and Pelinis bro.  To blame the players on this one I don't buy it.  They can't veto stupid play calling and coaching.

Don't really think being on game day means squat.  Let's worry about winning games.  As for the negative Bo crap. Who really cares what he did in Nebraska.  We get it some of you Cornbilly's, don't like him. Now you have a real gem.  Why don't you just worry about him and let's let Us worry about Bo.

Don't think the offensive line coach should get a free pass either.  He was involved with recruiting and coaching and right now he gets a D-.

If I was joe average fan and comparing football programs this is what I would see.  Us 1 playoff appearance in 15 years.  Them, 4 playoff appearances  in 6 years.  Us 3 different HC in 6 years.  Them, 1 in 19yrs.  We have all new asst coaches except 2 on offense and 1 on D.  They have most of the same staff with 6 plus years with the program.  We had 3 guys missing on the O line as well.  Throw in all the other crap and WHY would anybody think we had a chance today.  We are a mess because we are REBUILDING again. All the damage from the last 2 coaches will take years to fix.  Heacock got lucky when a guy named Mason showed up and it got him to the playoffs.  Wolford limited in HC skills, recruited guys that were better athletes and met the eye test on the field but couldn't coach them up because a lot of them lacked the work ethic, leadership and little football IQ.  We had 2 whiffs, while the other guys have built a program.

I listened to the Coach Pelini show and the Linebacker coach made it sound that Wright and the dellavarde sorry if I spelled it wrong are the starters now

I looked at Last years game we lost 35 to 21 we gained over 400 + yds in that game too.  Wells completed 66.7 of his passes yesterday threw for 240 he improved is completion percentage against them as well.  He threw a pick in both games.  But keep screaming for Davis reminds me when everybody wanted Zwick.  Go YSU!

The QB you warned about almost beat one of the best teams in the country.  We have nothing behind him right now and if you think Ricky Davis is the answer then you know less than you think.  I am not being a homer but don't you think Pelini isn't going to put the best guy out there.  He has a few more rings than u and being an armchair naysayer hater makes  any assessment from you pretty much garbage.  But keep being negative. Youngstown is full of your kind and you fit in very well.  Go Penguins!

Don't understand the Wells comment.  Yea the pick 6 was bad but we were 50% on third downs and almost pulled out the comeback.  He isn't the reason we lost.  We didn't stop the run gave up over200 yds and we gave up a couple of big plays the fake punt was devasting.  As for the Monty stuff our time of possession was almost 35 mins and we scored what 20 pets in the second half against a excellent team.  I thought the game plan was very good to b**** about him for this game is without merit.
