Agreed gentleman. That loss last week was a head shaker. Good win today, started to give us a little scare in the 3rd quarter. It was nice to see them close out the game. The ball was really spread out today on the offensive side of things, very nice to see. Big game next week @ South Dakota State. If we go out and win that game we get to come home and play probably the weakest team in the conference, South Dakota. The key to next weeks game in my opinion is shutting down Zenner, very good back (by far their best player). Our guys should have a very sour taste in their mouth due to how SDSU ended their season last year.

Let's be sure to give credit to the offensive line.  SIU had the reputation for a quality pass rush.  The line gave Wells ample time and, I think, only one holding penalty.  Very well done indeed.

Amazing composure for a true freshman.  Particularly impressive was the way he rebounded after the interception.

Thought that we played a really nice game, got a little dicey in the 3rd, but we retook control and won the game. I think we have our qb.

We tried to self destruct with penalties, fumble and an interception in the 2nd half. But the team survived and came up with a WIN!

Hunter Wells is a far more accurate passer then I expected. A very good win, but we must do it again next week at SDSU.

The thing about Wells... He is very accurate, and goes through his progressions and sits in the pocket nicely and steps up and fires the ball. Unlike our uhhhh starter at the beginning of the season, who runs like a chicken with his head cut off when pressure gets to him. It's early but I'm a Wells believer.
