Many preferred walk-ons will redshirt the 1st year, play scout team that year and the year after and then once kids leave the program and spots open, some of these kids who have worked hard and stayed with it and have the athletic ability, get an oppurtunity to see the field.

Signing day is tomorrow. Bo does his conference later in the day once all NLOI's are signed and faxed in.

National Signing Day tomorrow, correct?  Any time schedule for Bo's presser?

Yep, tomorrow. Sometime in the late afternoon like it usually is. Haven't heard a specific time.
Thanks.  I could do the voice over for his presser.  He is a darn good coach, but not much with the microphone!  “This kid is a really good RB, this kid is a really good DE etc.”

Lol. This is very true. One of the things that drove recruitnik d*****s crazy at NU.

Remember.. he can split scholarships in the FCS
I'm unsure on a point of split scholarships.  If you have to be on an athletic scholarship to participate in a game, so partial scholarships count toward that?  IE, if we give 4 kids 25% schollies, can they all play?

Yes, but all DI football teams are limited to 85 players receiving scholarship. So it is not as though you can give everyone 25% and have 252 players on scholarship.

Yes but we have 62 or 63 so they can split them to make 85

NO 252??  Too bad, that was what I was hoping for!  Seriously, what I was wondering was a number of the local walk-on types are going to end up as special teams guys at best, and if partials could play, that lets that opportunity open for them as they will never get full rides.
Thanks, you answered my question.  Sounds like the NCAA made this rule make some sense and many don't.

They (whomever "they" are) don't like this kid because he is too strong?  Release looks quick, arm is big time strong.  Sign him up!
I'm a strong believe in names.  You need a good one to succeed at QB. IE, Tom Brady, yes Jim Garoppolo, not a chance)  Ususally I don't like the "made up names" but K'Hari Lane is GREAT name. I'm all in with this guy!  Besides my grandkids love Kalahari water park!

Never saw his name associated with YSU, but would have loved to have him.  Probably would have had academic issues, if he had to settle for Yale!

Pelini's kid offered a walk on scholarship to Norte Dame, yes the real Norte Dame, not the pretend one by Cleveland.

But i thought he was only offered D1AA scholarships because of dad? shows how little some people know how football works.
