Volleyball Gets Swept at League-Leading Milwaukee
The Youngstown State volleyball team couldn't keep pace with Horizon League-leading Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon, losing 25-10, 25-23, 25-13 at the Klotsche Center.

The win gave the Panthers a perfect 7-0 record at the completion of the first-half of Horizon League play. YSU finishes the first half at 4-3 in conference play and 12-10 overall.

Milwaukee hit .381 as a team and had three players register at least 12 kills. Preseason conference offensive player of the year Rachel Neuberger had a match-high 15 kills on a .481 attack percentage.

Shannon Watson led YSU with 10 kills.

YSU trailed just 13-9 in the opening set before Milwaukee scored 12 of the final 13 points of the set. The Penguins responded well in the second set and led 22-21 after a Watson kill. Milwaukee scored the next three points, and Julie Kolinski had a kill on set point. Similar to the first set, Milwaukee pulled away midway through the third when it led just 11-8 to win 25-13.

Youngstown State will play at Cleveland State on Friday at 7 p.m.
