Three Win Singles Flights at St. Bonaventure Fall Classic

The Penguins went 10-0 in singles play and Flight winners were determined by record, then number of games lost.
Burak and Sadovnikova teamed up to win the Flight A singles title while Gimena Puppo and SBU's Fatya Amiri earned the Flight B Championship.
In Flight A, Sadovnikova earned two straight-set victories. She defeated Colgate's Kelsey Shea 6-3, 6-4 in her first match and beat Jennifer Ho 7-5 and 6-1.
In Flight B, Burak beat Ho 6-3, 6-0 and knocked off Colgate's Kaelin Brittin 6-1, 6-0.
Brendel cruised to the Flight C title not losing a set. She defeated Colgate's Katie Grant 6-0, 6-0 and Lindsey Madnick 6-0, 6-0.
Puppo and Carolyn Jesko each won their two Flight-D matches. Puppo defeated Madnick 6-4, 6-3 and beat Hannah Fleckenstein 6-2, 6-0. Jesko defeated Olivia Rauh 6-3, 4-6, 10-4 and Kirstie Woodbury 6-2, 1-6, 10-3.
In doubles play, Jesko and Brendel went 2-0 as did Burak and Sadovnikova.
The Penguins return to action on Sept. 27-29 at the Wright State/Dayton Invitational.
