Armstrong, Podolsky Lift Women's Soccer to 1-0 Win at Cleveland State
Cleveland, Ohio -- Junior Cara Armstrong scored her team-leading third goal of the season and goalkeeper Jackie Podolsky posted her first shutout of the season as the Youngstown State women's soccer team defeated Cleveland State, 1-0, on Wednesday night at Krenzler Field.

The Penguins improve to 4-9-1 overall and 2-2 in the Horizon League. The Vikings fall to 7-7-1 overall and 1-3 in the league.

Podolsky, who picked up her fourth win of the season, tallied six saves in the shutout.

Armstrong found a loose ball in the box after a corner from Katie Hohmann and found the back of the net at the 58:21 mark of the second half.

The Penguins tallied 10 shots, including six shots on goal, and survived 12 corner kicks by the Vikings.

The Penguins host Valparaiso, Saturday, Oct. 19, at Noon at Farmers National Bank Field.
