YSU Closes Out Home Campaign With Win Over Duquesne
The Youngstown State men's tennis team earned a 5-2 victory over Duquesne on Wednesday afternoon at the YSU Tennis Courts. YSU won four singles matches and took the doubles point from the Dukes.

The Penguins (11-8) earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Sebastian Hagn and Dawoud Kabli earned an 8-4 win at No. 1 while Felipe Rosa and Zeeshan Ismail prevailed 8-3 at No. 3. With the loss, Duquesne falls to 11-6.

In singles play, Felipe Rosa, the Guins' lone senior, was victorious in his home finale defeating Alex Aleman 6-3 and 6-0 at No. 3. Zeeshan Ismail dispatched of Corey Robinson 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles, Rodrigo Campos earned a 6-1, 6-4 over Max Rubin at No. 5 and in the final match of the dual, Max Schmerin won 7-5, 7-6 over Harry Walshe.

YSU concludes the regular season on Friday night at Wright State. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start.

No. 6 - Schmerin (YSU) def. Harry Walshe (DUQ) -  7-5, 7-6

Doubles
No. 1 - Hagn/Kabli (YSU) def. Carpenter/Aleman (DUQ) - 8-4
No. 2 - Rubin/Robinson (DUQ) def. Schmerin/Campos (YSU) - 8-5
No. 3 - Rosa/Ismail (YSU) def. Robbie/Ben Klaas (DUQ) - 8-3
