Penguins Visit Ohio For Dual Meet; Stafford Wins One-Meter
Athens, Ohio - The Youngstown State swimming and diving program was in action on Saturday after at Ohio's Aquatic Center. Bec Stafford picked up a win in the one-meter diving event to highlight the Penguins' afternoon.
Stafford led a 1-2-3 YSU finish in the one-meter dive placing first with a score of 285.75. Finishing in second place was Lydia Scheringer with a 266.18 while Bailey Dipman was third with a 264.30.
In the swimming events, Viktoria Orosz finished second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:06.70 and she was third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.29.
Madison Aranda was third in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:51.28 and Zsani Csado was third in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:07.86.
The Penguins are back in action on Friday when they play host to Niagara. The dual meet is set to start at 5 p.m. at the Beeghly Natatorium.
