Aranda, Dow, Orosz Each Post Multiple Wins in Loss to Duquesne
Madison Aranda, Ashley Dow and Viktoria Orosz each posted multiple wins, but the Youngstown State swimming and diving team dropped 152-142 decision to Duquesne on Saturday afternoon at the Beeghly Natatorium. Diver McKenzie Stelter picked up a pair of wins against Clarion.
Orosz picked up victories in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:25.49, the 100-yard freestyle in 52.86 seconds and the 200-yard individual medlay with a time of 2:08.83.
Aranda won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.58 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:09.64. She also finished second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:11.72.
Dow recorded wins in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.62 and the 200-yard backstroke in 2:08.22. She also finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.38.
In the diving meet against Clarion, Stelter won the one-meter dive with a score of 257.32 and the three-meter dive with a score of 260.40. She won the three-meter by nearly 20 points.
The Penguins will be back in action at the Cleveland State Invitational, Nov. 21-23.
