The Youngstown State swimming and diving team had a strong performance against Green Bay on Friday night at the Beeghly Center Natatorium.
The Penguins opened the night with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.37.
Ashley Dow earned two wins to pace the Penguins. In the 100-yard backstroke, Dow had a time of 58.50 seconds and in the 200-yard back she clocked in at 2:06.75. She was third in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:16.83.
Bec Stafford had a strong performance in the one-meter dive posting a score of 301.34 to win by more than 50 points. In the three-meter dive Stafford won with a score of 276.75 while Lydia Scheringer was third at 231.23 and Tricia Vallinger placed fourth with a 225.45.
Laura Paz had a first-place time of 58.19 seconds in the 100-yard fly. Paz placed second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:07.94.
In the 100-yard backstroke, freshman Taylor Teske was second with a time of 1:00.26. Hannah Reynolds is second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.74.
Therese Stevens was econd in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.60 seconds and Jana Janson placed third at 54.65 seconds. Chelsea Malone was third in the 50 free with a time of 25.03 seconds.
The Phoenix won the dual by a score of 182-118.
The Penguins return to action next Saturday for a dual at Niagara.
