Softball Drops 6-2 Decision to Saint Joseph's (Pa.) on Sunday
Clearwater, Fla. The Youngstown State softball team fell to 1-7 after dropping a 6-2 decision to Saint Joseph's (Pa.) on Sunday morning.
The Penguins mustered just three hits and committed three errors that led to four unearned runs.
The Hawks led just 2-0 entering the fifth inning before using a four-run fifth, including threenearned runs, to take a 6-0 lead.
In the top of the seventh, senior Sarah Gabel's run-scoring single and Haley Knight's ground out accounted for the Penguins' two runs.
The Penguins face Creighton and Utah Valley, Tuesday, March 12, at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
