Miklos Inks First Signee in Dover's Courtney Shutt

At the 2013 OHSAA Division II State Golf Championship, Shutt placed fifth with a two-round total of 159. She carded rounds of 84 and 75 to help pace Dover to a runner-up finish behind Gates Mill Hawken in its first-ever state tournament appearance.
For her efforts during her senior season, Shutt was named all Ohio Athlete Scholar. She was also the Eastern District Player of the Year and led the team in scoring with an average of 76.7. At the sectional and district tournaments, she posted the overall lowest scores with a 74 and a 76. Courtney also led Dover to their first appearance at the 2013 OHSAA State Golf Championships in Division II.
As a junior, she led her Dover squad to its first appearance in the Division I District Tournament. She led the Tornadoes in scoring average as a sophomore and freshman. Additionally, this past summer she won a tournament at the University of Michigan by six strokes.
Shutt said she plans to major in Early Childhood Education.
