Merling Finishes in Top Ten; Penguins Sixth at Bison Invite

Aislynn Merling led the way for the Penguins tying for ninth place with a two-round total of 152. Merling carded rounds of 75 and 77 for the event.
In the team standings, YSU had two rounds of 312 for a total of 624 to finish in a tie with Northern Illinois. Nova Southeastern won the 13-team event with a 586. Old Dominion (601) was second while Southern Utah was third 615.
Freshman Emily Rohanna carded an impressive round of 74 and was in fourth place following day one. Rohanna feel off the pace on Friday with an 85 and finished 35th with a 159. Also carding a 159 was Angela Molaseky who had rounds of 81 and 78.
Allison Mitzel was 44th with a 163 (82-81) and Sarah Heimlich was 46th with a 164 (88-76).
The Penguins return to action on April 8-9 at the Niagara Invitational.
