YSU Baseball Coaches to Offer Showcase Camp in September

The Youngstown State Baseball Coaching Staff will host a showcase camp on Sept. 29 at Eastwood Field for players wishing to be instructed and evaluated.

The camp is designed for players entering grades nine through 12, but eighth graders can be permitted with staff approval.

Registration will run from 9-10 a.m., and the camp will run from 10 to approximately 4 p.m. The camp schedule includes stations for batting practice, offensive cage work, throwing drills, defensive drills, scrimmaging and recruiting information. YSU head coach Steve Gillispie will also speak with the attendees on his vision and high expectations for the Penguins program. The cost is $125.
