watched some of the nova/bunny game today, do not feel so bad about our loss to Nova. They were legit, gave SDSU all they could handle.

100% Agree, Villanova was an extremely good team.

I watched a lot of it Villanova played well their QB made a few mistakes and their coach probably should have went for it on 4th and 1.   Weather and SD line wore on them as they got deep into the game.  Nova is better then us.

Looks like we might of lost a few more guys in the portal it’s crazy.  Looks like we offered a RB Robinson from Duquesne.  As well.  Anybody close to the program know if some were told to go.  FCS is dead if this is the new model.

You can’t blame anybody for transferring.for money of a better program.  We lose coaches all the time due to money.

This program has lived on borrowed time and even got the hometown discount from Tress and Pelini and I think even Heacock took a little less so he could pay his assistants better

We never parleyed our success to get to D1 and found any big money donors to get us their if Monus wouldn’t haven’t been caught he might of done that

So get used to his bit is 7-4, 6-5 maybe an 8-3 season here or there unless we find more cash and players will come and go now

Howard is has. 1 yr left as a grad so I think rules states he has to transfer.  In his twitter he had sd Michigan St offered and Liberty already.
If I was a YSU receiver I would be concerned about who is throwing to me in 24.  Could be growing pains and some guys don’t want to waste a year for that.
 Plus now with the portal the bigger schools can cherry pick off the smaller schools especially with NIL to build depth etc

We were a middle of the pack MVFC team.  That really didn’t beat anybody in our conference.  Nova was the better team player wise on D.  And on offense.  Hannon complimented how good their linebackers were and their QB.

Hannon just complimented how well coached nova was and they were ready for us and  well prepared.  We just got a junk td. Maybe we need some JT magic

Again we were a middle of the pack team and it looks like the committee got it right. My hats of to NOVA.

I can’t pull the tweet.  We can barely afford playing in the conferences we are in.  Our asst coaches make enough to qualify for food stamps.  We need millions and millions to even get into the MAC

First play-off game in 7 years and so so quiet on this board!

That is what happens after what 7 years since last playoffs etc.  My thought is the Dukes a big enough Draw to get a decent crowd.  My guess Holiday week I’m hoping to see 8k.  And doesn’t the athletic dept say a lesser amount as an announced crowd if memory serves me right for playoffs

Well we are in you never know with the selection committee.  The easier conference schedule helped us and thank god we had Murray St for the last game .



Should be an easy first game after that who knows.  We will go as far as our pass defense takes us!!

Games that hurt us
Terrible loss at home last week to SD St we didn’t just lose we got shut out
All our wins are against the second half of the division no wins against the top 5 teams.  Not our fault that we had an easier conference schedule
2 BS games against bottom feeder teams yes we won but nothing special
Yes we played Ohio St but that will mean crap to the committee.
When you go 7-4 it’s a crap shoot.  8-3 we were in.

It all sounds good till they pick and we are the ugly person that doesn’t get asked to go the dance,  it’s been happening for what 30 years.  Our Commissioner is not a player in the room either.  Plus the rules change every year well the fake rules

About every team has lit us up with the passing game. Of course the rushing D has improved due to teams passing at will.  This team needs more than 2 players on each side of the ball to be a top 1 or 2 geam in the conference.  You are losing your 2 best players on offense and I think your TE and a RB are Seniors.  Is Davidson getting a 6th year.  If not QB is a big problem. Big problem.  Let’s hope we get a bid this year

If we win next week at Murray State we are likely in the playoffs based on how the schedule will likely play out.  If we get in, we will do damage.  We will probably win the first 2 games.  That would mean we would finish in the top 8. 

If and when this does happen, I don't want to hear anymore bullsh** about the team and coach.  He's building a great program here.  Hes got to work with his coordinators and coaches.  They need development and that takes time.

Direct your anger at the AD for keeping Heacock who couldn't recruit but could coach.  For the record, dynasties are usually once in a lifetime events.  That's just reality

Power with the diluted conference schedule we should make the playoffs.  Wolford or Pelini never had this easy of conference schedule.
So if we go 5-3 we will either be the 4th or 5th best team in the conference. 
I know the top team the jackrabbits best Northern Iowa by 35 pts. We lost to them. 
I don’t know if Phillips is the answer but he needs a huge talent influx to get to the next level in our conference.
We will see.  But I said earlier in the year our D wasn’t great after I watched Ohio st and you said heck no we are so much better.  We aren’t on D and honestly that’s been our Achilles heal other than 2016. 
Murray St should be an easy win.  Then it’s up to the asshats that pick the teams. 


 

We are better on defense this year than we were last year.  Our problem is on the DL.  The secondary also has issues, but many of those issues are caused by the lack of pass rush.

Look at where we are statistically this year vs last year defensively. We are better, we're just not good enough to beat the top tier teams.  We need more recruiting on the DL and OL.  We have to be able to run the ball against anybody.

Here's what people need to keep in mind.....SDSU will not be the same team next year.  They graduate a ton of people.  I expect that there won't be such a dominant force in FCS next year.

I just at this years conference stats for D.  We finished 4th last year in conference. This year we are 8th plus we are giving up an extra point a game.  We have a weaker conference schedule.  So no we haven’t improved on D.
