I've never doubted that we had a shot. Although it was earlier in the year,  NDSU and UNI hung 50 and 30 respectively on EWU. I think we should be fine offensively. There is no denying the defense took a hit though. With that said I do believe they will step it up. Rivers and Moss are a tandem no team can handle. I think that's the key. Get to the QB. Put him on the cold, hard turf. By the 2nd quarter if not sooner, he will think twice about running.

Powell has been playing well, granted pass defense may not be his main strength but I feel he can step it up when called upon.

I think we can all agree, it's time to move on. There's no use in lingering on about what should have happened. It went down the way that it did, and it cannot be changed. Yes, there are privacy laws that need to be followed.

Can we PLEASE shift the focus where it belongs? Eastern Washington. I think we can all agree, that this team has handled adversity very well. I have no reason to expect anything different on Saturday. Also Happy Birthday to Coach Bo. Let's get him a win.

Time to put this mess behind us and focus on the fact we are playing in the NATIONAL SEMIFINALS with a chance to go to our SEVENTH FCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, and EIGHTH all-time championship!

The first quarter is critical this week. Either get a big three and out on defense or ground-and-pound a 10-15 play drive on offense capped off by a TD. Either of those two things will get this team to forget about these distractions and more on winning a HUGE game for this program.

Agreed in regards to 1st quarter. Don't want to fall behind early. However, I'd argue the 4th quarter will be the test. I expect a lot of clock control, take control late.

On WFMJ at 6 Dana Balash said the starting lineup released today didn't change from last week. Suspensions may not be until the title game. Unsure how accurate this is, I'm sure this could change as the suspensions officially come from the NCAA.

More excitement about bad news than the first 3 play-off wins. Get over it people, most of us have done stupid at some point in our life. Sounds like it is being handled, lets worry about the game.

Preach brother.

While he was here Slocum did give him a green light to shoot even in some conference games. But to your point playing time was the potential issuem

We have enough backs. I think we see Alessi. I also think we may see Webb returning punts, which may mean more McCaster and Alessi is needed. I'm not sure on a number of runs, but we need to control the clock. I think we should utilize quick passes to our backs and wrs as well, to bolster the running attack.

Players do have down time,  so shouldn't he have been studying is a bit much. Agreed it's concerning,  what he was doing. Especially since we dodged a gun incident before the season even started. He was a good one too. Shame.

This is even more troubling considering Weber left before he did. I'm assuming he was told to leave, or was threatened with loss of playing time. Why else leave, when the guy you had an incident with is gone?

On a positive note, this team is scrappy and I like them. Disappointing campaign for the women, too many injuries.

I'm all for being pro Youngstown/YSU here... but, after one drive EWU will know who is out. Also whether they know or not, we have to be prepared. I've said when this streak started, play clean football and don't waste red zone trips. If we can do that, we can beat anyone. I know that's cliche, and probably true for most teams... but it's especially true in December.

As far as the names go, I've heard 3 of those 4 are a certainty.

WKBN at 5 is stating they "will not release names". Also saying YSU will not comment. I think it's safe to say it's Ruiz. But, who else?
