I get so tired of the lame comparison of abortion and capital punishment. Thinking that being pro life and pro capital punishment at the same time is hypocritical, is total BS.

Abortion is the taking of a life, aka murder, of a human that certainly has not had an opportunity to break any laws.

Capital punishment is for a person who has made a conscience decision to break the law and knows the consequences of such an act.

No comparison.

If it helps we could say that capital punishment is simply "post birth abortion".

We all need to calm down...Please look at the 2 Deep depth charts and count how many Seniors are in the mix...look at games started etc,,,

The roster was gutted because we needed to upgrade size, speed, athleticism, and look like a FCS team...Wolford is recruiting his a$$ off but this is a 3-5 yr project...and then we should be back in the mix...Indy State will win more than you think..but we have to be patient and let the rebuild happen...

When u have Fresh and Sophs manning aloit of the positions you probably are not going to win championships...

The problem is we got lucky and got an offensive genuis that knows offensive football and can tutor QB's to make the pro's...Montgomery-and Big Ben...this team is improving and growing every week..Hess is what 4 games into his soph year...so again patience ...fans

Good post

As guin4 stated; turnovers killed us last year, but there is no doubt Indiana State has improved from the days of old! Our passing defense still has holes and ISU's QB will find many of them. Hopefully we will get a couple turnovers this year.

All in all YSU will prevail in a squeaker.  YSU 30 - ISU 27

Go Penguins we need this away victory!

Yea with some of the away games we have later in the season, getting a win on Sat would be big.

Some good points, WKU looks like a good game but the stats were a lot closer then the score, WKU had too many turnovers.

Indy does scare me a bit, they are hungry and headed in the right direction. We need a good start to set the tone.

Finally we need to do something with our piss poor PA system in the stadium.  You can barely here anyone speaking on it.

I agree, but there does seem to a problem with the ref's mic's

YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: Conference realignment thread
« on: September 19, 2011, 08:21:42 PM »
The reason we are all in uncharted waters is the fact that this is the first time that the very existence of the NCAA as we know it is threatened by the big boys and their television money.  Will they bolt from the NCAA, form those super conferences for all sports, and start to pay their players "stipends?"  Or will they simply wrest concessions from the NCAA but stay within the organization?

My prediction for YSU is that in five years we will still be affiliated with two conferences: football only as a member of a restructured CAA and everything else in the Horizon League, which will have lost Butler but nobody else.  Milwaukee fans are delusional if they think that their institution is attractive to the big boys.

I agree that it is only a matter of time before we will see 64 teams 4 16 team leagues, starting their own party. And yes no NCAA means they can pay the players, which means that all the rest of the schools in the country will have a talent drop off.

And yes Milwaukee fans really must be delusional.

This poll is a little better but way too early to get excited, I seem to recall getting all pumped up last year after our SIU win and we all know how that ended up.

I am happy with the win and just interested in winning 1 game at a time.

Indy is not far below us.

:o 0-3 EWU still @21.

Heck YSU could be 0-3 with 1 point OT losses to USC, Texas and Bama and not get that respect. Gee I hope I do not sound bitter for polls past.
