Just so everyone is aware:
Thanks for making this forum the success it has become. In case anyone would like a little history ...
- we became of Yahoo chat site in 1992. I did not go to Huntington, and began playing as a way to ease my frustration with the bad call :)
- I created our own board in 1999.
- Since the time I opened the first board (1999), we just surpassed to 100,000 thread mark. That means we have had over 100k topics discussed on the board. That is just fantastic!!
In the past year, we have had over 200 separate people post on this board (which is a decrease from the previous year). This year I hope to double this, as so many more people read ...than post. Our posters come and go as our football team performs. With a good team, we will have many posters; but still invite your friends and family!
However, as with anything that grows, it can become too large. So, I have decided to remove (prune) our old posts. For now, I went back and removed all threads that have not had any posts in the past two years. This is not threads that were created in the past two years ...only those with no activity. We may have to do more once the Guins (and ysupenguins.com) begin the 2012-13 year.
I know many of you like to look at old posts (I am one of those as well) to see what people were saying about a particular player, coach, event, etc. Or, if you are looking to quote a particular user. So, I am going to try and keep the previous two years. Our speed is already up quite a bit.
