I am not sure Claycraft can get it done in the wind.
I am also surprised that Pearson is playing instead of Turner.

We probably can’t win with Claycraft throwing the ball. We definitely can’t win with him running the ball.
Terrible play calling.

I doubt very much that our offense could generate 2 TDs to come back.

I have had enough of this team. Both Missouri state quarterbacks tower over anything we have not just better but dramatically better. We know that this Johnson is going to run the ball three out of four times yet we don’t just go after him nonstop we should cover no one else give up the big score who cares just go after that quarterback. Where is the defensive coordinator? It doesn’t matter with that johnson back there any tb  they have in the backfield with him is a star

Definitely need an offensive coordinator after that play!

We need a QUARTERBACK, period! (Especially the one that can throw the ball vertically to the receivers over 20 yards downfield).

We can't just run the ball to number 8! Everyone knows what is coming and then in passing situations they know that also.  We either have no faith in the pass game or the coordinator is very poor. We are so predicable. Probably need some O line help and qb who can throw the ball to keep the defense honest. We never seem to have an open receiver no matter what.  And the O line protection is much worse than our opposition O line pass protection. Need major upgrades before fall. It was done at Missouri State since last year, maybe we can too.

If this coach doesn't work out this program will never recover.

This coach is going to work out. He needs time to recruit and develop.  Pelosi was the worst recuiter we've had since the Tressel era.  He took Wolford's recuits and  took the team far but they were undisciplined and looked for drugs etc.  Maybe he was the worst coach.  Anyhow, the cupboard is bare.  This guy is doing a hell of a job and he will get it turned around.  What did you expect with the recruiting Pelini had?

It takes time to turn things around and he has the program on the rise.

Exactly. Phillips exceeded expectations and raised false hopes by almost beating SDSU and then collecting the win against an unimpressive South Dakota. I remind you again that Tressel won 2 games in his rookie season, and he coached in a vastly inferior league with more talent inherited from Narduzzi than Phillips received from Pelini. If this staff can recruit and develop players, we will be competitive in 2022 and perhaps good in 2023.

Way too early to pass judgement on the coach and his staff, need to give him at least 2-3 years. All things considered I think that he is doing ok. I know that all do not agree but I think that playing this spring is a huge plus for us. Expecting an exciting fall.

3-12 in our last 15 conference games.  Haven't won a road game in conference since 2017.  Program is a mess.  Way to early to judge Phillips and this staff.  But other than McLaughlin we have no playmakers on offense.  I am hoping that is why we run this conservative offense.   Can only hope that that they can recruit some talent at wide receivers and figure out QB then open it up.

too many dropped pa$$es
you couldn't be any more on target.  We don't know if Waid will every make a winning QB, and we are pretty sure Craycraft is a marginal backup, but both are going to have terrible stats if we can't catch any better that we are!
