Whats the crowd look like. Actual attendance....(not seats sold or distributued).

Thank You.
I was at the game. We might have 7000 - 8000 people. We had too many major penalties. I could not believe that Wolf went for a 45 years field goal. Special team did not execute well. Our punt from mid-field ended up in the end zone. A few plays after the blocked field goal, they ran the ball up the middle for 25 yards for a TD with at least 5 of our players missing the tackles. Defense played much better except they had some trouble tackling their QB in 2Q & 3 Q. We made some adjustments and we were able to controlled him in the 4Q. No. 2 needed to throw the option pass away when our receiver was double covered. Hess was not very sharp today except for short passes. Many 10 yard + passes were either high or low. Offense is not in sync and I do not believe Hess has attempted any deep passes. a win is a win. But was ugly.

I have been following the team over 45 years in, rain, snow or shine and I am not going to stop now, regardless who the coach is or will be. I am here to support the student athletes. Go guins.

Yes it was very ugly.

I've been on here bashing the LBs the past 3 games.  I am now officially bashing the entire defense.  DL bad and so is the secondary (though I give them a little pass cause we have no pass rush).
I agree. I fault the front 4 for not putting pressure on the QB and allowing 5-6 seconds to survey the field. I fault the LBs for not covering the underneath crossing routes. I fault the DBs for leaving receivers open time after time. When was the last time that our front 4 raised their hands trying to knock down the passesl on the underneath crossing routes? It was truly a team effort (or lack thereof).

I will continue to support the team. However, it is getting harder and harder to cheer for this coaching staff during the game.

They are still playing hard but not playing well. Defense backs were giving up too many big plays. Dug a big hole early with too many turnovers which we did not make in the first 4 games.

Any information on Stubbs? He has not played since getting knocked out on the sideline.

They didn't need to make half time adjustments and apparently, we didn't either.

BENCH HIS ASS WOLFORD
Look at the bright side, Wolford will not be outcoached in the second half since they do not have to make any half time adjustments.

I hate to say this, but I am having connection issues and have to use my phone to watch the game. Needless to say, with this performance I have turned it off. Strollo better make the announcement Monday. Now I am afraid to give the car keys to coach Montgomery ...although I really have a great deal of respect for him.
I wished that I had connection problem so I didn't have to watch this epic of HHS Titanic. SDSU had problems passing the ball? We made their QB looking like Peyton Manning.

4) Coaches... what happened to the attitude and swagger of this team? Coaches exist for three reasons... to call plays, prepare players for games and motivate/inspire their teams. Needless to say, we have failed in all three of these areas. Buck has to stop somewhere guys... and to coin a phrase from one of my football favorites (remember the titans) "attitude reflects leadership... Captain."

I agree.
I think the team could sense what would happen in the second half when they came out after the intermission. Deep down, players knew that we were going to be out coached again. They did not have faith in the coaches. The coaches did not have technical skills, managing skills and leadership quality. As a result, the team was at a lost and they played without emotions. We should have prepared for the block punt. SIU players (all four, not just one) were on top of our punter before he even kicked the ball. This is a total breakdown of the protection scheme.

I was at the game and I recognized that the players made many mistakes. However, it appeared that the coaching staff had put them in many no-win situations and the players didn't care if they could get out of it. Bottom-line, players have lost their faith in the coaching staff.

Instead of blaming the players, coaches must take responsibilities and show leadership on how they could correct their mistakes and provide the team with better strategies and leadership to win future games. If they could not do that, this season would be lost.

Wolf has recruited well on paper but it appears to me they're paper tigers and don't have football toughness. All very good athletes, fast good kids, but the hardnosed slobber knocking football skills are not there.
I could not have agreed with you more. Having all the physical attributes (weight, Height & speed) does not necessarily make the person a better player. You still need the playing skills, mental toughest/quickness, ability to apply and adapt. We have, on paper, lots of players with great physical attributes but they are lacking skill, mental quickness and ability to apply in a game situation. Jimmy Hines had great physical attributes but lack the skill set. Being the fastest human for 15 years after with winning the Olympic 100 meters race. He never made it to football as a wide receiver since he could not catch the ball or comprehend the game. He was nick named "oops Hines". It seems that we might have a lot of "oops Hines" on our team.

The last 2 games have been very surreal.  We beat Pitt, Northern Iowa.  Then we went to a bye week, and we look clueless? thoughts
I think we will still make the playoff. we should be able to get in with 3 losses since we have beaten Pit and we did not play any D2 team. I am steill an optimist. Let us don't forget that we have lost to the top 2 teams in the conference.

@Double Et:  I remember a Div II playoff game at Fitch between YSU and Delaware in 78.  Think we were leading 35-6 at the half and lost the game.  Remember the game very well because I drove up from Hazleton, Pa to see it.
Yes. I was at that game. I forgot about that. At least we were scoring on every possession (so were they). It came down to who had that ball last. They did and we lost.

I have been watching YSU football since 1966. This game was probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest, collapse in my memory. After the first 4 TDs, there were no emotion on the offense as if they had already won the game. Where was the leadership? We refused to put pressure on the QB who continuously picked our DB & safeties apart. You would have thought that, after 2 consecutive games, we would be ready for the option pass?

Woolford gave some BS excuse on the radio.  Hey Coach, this game is all on YOU and the staff.  You guys absolutely STINK.

We were totally out coached today. We played not to lose when we were up by 21. The last drive at the end of 1st half killed us. We did not make any adjustments on offense in hoping the 21 points lead would be enough. I am not surprise that we gave up 35 points. I am shocked that we could not score a single point in the second half.

We made $650k playing Ohio State. With Zippy's attendance, we might make $50k playing those Kangaroos at Akron. LOL
