We need a seasoned quarterback for next year. I know, it's a longshot but what a get it would be for us. He played against us, it'd be awesome if he'd play for us. I'm sure there are many FBS teams already planning to make bigger offers.

The University doesn't have the money to replace the HC.  Please keep in mind that 20% of FCS football programs make the playoffs.  This is not what I would call a great accomplishment.  Not to mention FCS football is a shell of its past.

33.3% of that 20% didn't survive the first round. 50% of the remainder won't survive past Saturday. Why not enjoy this year's accomplishments? It wasn't that long ago when we were sure that we wouldn't even be part of the 20% to get in and now we've survived round one. Being in the playoffs at all is more than we expected this season after the NIU and SDSU losses and now we've achieved more than 8 of the 24 playoff teams. Whether we win or lose this Saturday FCS is right where we belong. Surely beats the certain obscurity and the expense of FBS.

Strollo bid 20k seats. I bet it is about half the selling price, so that would be about $10 x 20k or $200,000 we paid the NCAA to host. Does not matter how many people actually show, we still owe. I doubt we have ever recovered our payout, even in the 90's. Believe me, He bought us into the post-season. I have to respect that.

It honestly felt like more than 3800 were in the stands. I was going to guess closer to 5k.

Anyway don't get too down on the attendance figures Thanksgiving weekend is just a bad weekend for small college football. I've been going to Mount Union playoff games for years, and thanksgiving weekend is Always sparsely attended compared to the rest of their games.

It's a combination of travel plans, students not being on campus etc.

Didn't look like 3800 on the tube..

I thought that 3800 was low! Thought that it was better to report a low number to save some bucks.

Since we have won like 17 straight home play-off games, I would say money well spent. Kudos to the AD.

The Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies during Tressel's tenure as Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics was his administrative boss. When it came to the financial reporting of the athletic department the football program under Tressel was fiscally self-sustaining, which she told me was much to her surprise at the time.

Go Guins!

I came out of hibernation and easily got a ticket online through the YSU website so that's my suggestion over the phone/office methods.

Go Guins!

...and here I thought my presence jinxed the game...sorry guys. Yes, some of the play calling was painful to watch but the lack of calls our way and a touchdown called back for no targeting was completely demoralizing. See you on the board sometime down the road, back to another long hibernation.

First game for me in person since before covid and with our two MVFC losses by a combined 6 points I'm feeling hopeful that we'll make a good showing today. I'll have my red on...GO GUINS!!!

Ok, still hope after a Hawks 3-and-out after a terrible YSU punt and a poor Hawks punt. Whew, this is heart-stopping now. No targeting call? 4th and sixteen and...incomplete, game over, damn. Plus, the safety might have worked for a victory. Oh well.

Now it gets even more painful...Touchdown YSU! Too little too late? What a drive!

Hawks go 3 and out, still hope with 4:00 to go.

Everything fell apart after the PI call in the 4th quarter, now down 11 thanks to a fumbled snap and blocked punt. Should have taken the safety. Another sad day for the penguins. It was a winnable game up to that point.

I usually pause the video momentarily with my DVR and toy around with little fast-forward bumps or quick pauses until I get the WKBN iheart radio audio and WBCB video in sync. It sometimes takes a portion of the first quarter to get it close. My AV receiver also allows for a more precise delaying of the audio if it ends up getting ahead of the video. Without a DVR and a receiver with a delay function all bets are off for a simple home fix of the synchronization.
