The board is quiet.....hopefully before the storm?

We should have an exciting season ahead.  Why not so many posts?  The Penguins should raise a lot of hell this year.  Do we need Paladin back?

Paladin is great for business. When Logan is going good Paladin gets in rare form.

I think folks are just quietly optimistic waiting for the Pitt game.

Good to hear we came out of camp relatively healthy.

Don't worry there will be a storm of comments after the game.

ESPN is reporting Pitt RB Ray Graham will not play in the first game vs YSU, wow what a big break for us. Time to take advantage!

I agree.  It is an opportunity.  Their safeties are supposed to be good.

Pitt has two other good (but relatively untested) rb's in Isaac Bennett and Rushell Shell (freshman from Hopewell).  Safeties and Defensive Lines at Pitt are really good.  This should be a fun game to watch.  Let's go guins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pitt has plenty of good running backs. Graham is a great one but the backups are very, very good.

Last year MSU had a 2nd rounder on the D-line and a 6th rounder at safety. They have a kid projected as a first round DE this year. For my money they were at least as good as Pitt will be this year if not better, and we moved the ball on them pretty well at times.

MSU also had a QB, 2 WR and a RB all drafted last year. Pitt's QB and WR are a bit questionable if what I hear on the sports talk shows is accurate. QB is a kid, as robmat said, going into his 3rd different system in 3 years. Most Pitt fans regard him as a game manager type. He can lose a game but won't win you many. Their Wr's have been hit by the injury bug a bit as well. Certainly not on par with MSU to this point.

Still, they have quality players and more of them. Hopefully we catch them still struggling with their new systems and they make enough mistakes for us to pull one out.
