2012 Football TV Schedule
« on: July 30, 2012, 07:23:01 PM »
The MVFC web site (www.valley-football.org) has just listed the tv schedule for conference teams.  Look under the category MULTIMEDIA.  The good news is that all five of our road games will be available via internet.  ESPN3 will show the games at Pittsburgh, SDSU, and Western Illinois.  MVFC TV, obviously an in-house production, will do the games at NDSU and Illinois State.  Here is the bad news.  I expect WFMJ will pick up the NDSU and Illinois State games from the conference, but ESPN in the past has refused to allow  local stations to tap into their ESPN3 webcasts.  So expect to fork over money to see those.  Of course, if you have AT&T DSL, ESPN3 comes to you free.

I have Comcast Xfinity internet - ESPN3 also free.  Just checked and am able to watch the MLB game.

Good to know I can get some of the games.

ESPN, MVFC Reach Agreement

ESPN has reached an agreement with the league to carry five games as part of a Missouri Valley Football Conference Game of the Week package on ESPN3 during the 2012 college football season.

Missouri Valley Football Commissioner Patty Viverito states, “The availability of these games on ESPN3 allows fans to watch live events across multiple screens, whether that’s through Xbox LIVE on your TV screen, or while on the go on your smartphone, tablet or laptop. ESPN3 has established itself as a standalone network with mainstream appeal in a fast-paced digital media world. We're pleased with our growing relationship."

As part of the agreement, ESPN3 will carry at least five college football games from the Missouri Valley Football Conference beginning this season, and as many as 15 additional games that will be carried on ESPN3 -- as part of a cooperative effort between institutional production companies -- will be announced later. The conference five-game package on ESPN3 includes:

Date Time (CT) Game
Sat., Sept. 29 6:00 p.m. Indiana State at Southern Illinois
Sat., Oct. 6 1:00 p.m. Youngstown State at North Dakota State
Sat., Oct. 13 1:00 p.m. Youngstown State at Illinois State
Sat., Oct. 27 1:00 p.m. South Dakota at Indiana State
Sat., Nov. 10 12:00 p.m. UNI at South Dakota
