Soccer Falls to Canisius, 1-0
Buffalo, N.Y. -- The Youngstown State soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Canisius on Sunday afternoon. The Penguins fall to 1-1 while the Golden Griffins improve to 1-1.

Just 17 minutes into the game, Canisius' Kelly McMahon scored from 20 yards out on a free kick.

Junior Jackie Podolsky recorded six saves in the loss.

The Penguins posted 10 shots, including five shots on goal, but could not convert.

The Penguins host Toledo, Friday, Aug. 30, at 4 p.m. in the inaugural game at Farmers National Bank Field.
