In the 60-meter dash she was second as a sophomore (7.69 seconds) and as a freshman ( ).

The last runner to win both the 60 and 200 in the same HL meet was Milwaukee's Kelsey Conrad in 2009. YSU's Danielle Bolt picked up wins in both events in 2005.

Katrina Rettburg is the two-time defending high jump champion. Rettburg won with a leap of 1.70 meters as a sophomore in 2012 and 1.64 meters in 2011. The Penguins have won the last five high jump events at the indoor meet.

The Penguins were second in four straight meets (2006-09), but have not finished better than third each of the past three meets.

For the men, John Seaver will look to defend his shot put title. Seaver won the 2012 title with a toss of 17.62 meters as the Penguins took four of the top five placings in the event. Three different YSU throws have won the event the past three meets.
