Kyle Bryant to Play in the East-West Shrine Game
Youngstown State senior offensive tackle Kyle Bryant (Detroit, Mich.) has accepted an invitation to take part in the 89th East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 18 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Bryant is the first Penguin to be intived to the East-West Shrine Game since Harry Deligianis in 1998.

In his recently concluded senior season, Bryant started and played in 10 contests for the Penguins at left tackle. He started the first five games of the season before missing two with an injury. He returned to start the final five contests at left tackle.

As a junior in 2012, Bryant played in all 11 contests and started the final six at left tackle for the Guins.

In his YSU career he played 21 games and started 16 of his final 18 contests.

Bryant transfered to YSU from Bowling Green in January 2012. He was a member of the Falcons' program from 2009-11. He saw his most action as a redshirt sophomore in 2011 when he started six games at the left-tackle spot.

The East-West Shrine Game is the longest-running college all-star football game in the country and features some of the highest-rated players in the projected NFL draft ranking. While teams are divided by the East and West, the players come together for the beneficiary of the event, Shriners Hospitals for Children.

More than 100 players from the 88th East-West Shrine Game signed with NFL teams in 2013.

YSU finished the campaign 8-4 and was ranked 17th in the final regular-season Sports Network Poll.
