Penguins Drop Season Opener Against Dayton
Youngstown - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to Dayton on Saturday night at the Boardman Tennis Center. YSU won the doubles point before the Flyers had a strong performance in singles to win the match.

In doubles play, YSU earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3 to earn the point.

At No. 2, Nehel Sahni and Noelly Nsimba won 6-4 after Julianna Heino and Ana Stroe earned a 6-1 victory at No. 3.

In singles play, the Penguins dropped two matches in three sets. At No. 3, Nsimba lost 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 while at No. 4, Sofia Macias lost 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 to Jackie Kawamoto.

The Penguins are next in action on Friday when they visit Duquesne. The match is scheduled to being at 10 a.m. at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Club.
