Cleveland, Ohio -- Cleveland State scored two goals in a 44-second span and the Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the Vikings on Wednesday evening at Krenzler Field.

With the loss, the Penguins fall to 5-7 overall and 0-3 in the Horizon League while the Vikings improve to 6-4-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.

Sophomore Kyler Lum put the Penguins up 1-0 with her third goal of the year in the 34th minute. Lum blasted a shot from the top of the box and sneaked a goal near the right right post.

Cleveland State knotted the game at 1-1 when Vicki Havas scored her fifth goal of the season at the 73:21 mark.

The Vikings took the lead for good when Ashley Thiss headed a pass from Erin O'Toole in the middle fo the box off a free kick at the 74:05 mark.

The Penguins tallied eight total shots and had three shots on goal.

YSU goalkeeper Katie Montgomery recorded five saves in the loss.

The Penguins visit Milwaukee, Saturday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. in Milwaukee, Wis.
