Soccer Falls to Army, 2-1
West Point, N.Y. -- The Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped its first game of the season falling to Army, 2-1, on Friday evening. Freshman Alison Green scored her first career goal for the Penguins.

The Penguins fall to 2-1 overall while Army improves to 2-1.

Army's Sam Gottlieb took a pass from Kayleigh Stallings to put the Cadets on the board in the sixth minute of the match to take a 1-0 lead.

Green knotted the game in the 79th minute, but Army's Sullenger broke the tie with a goal in the 83rd minute.

Freshman goalkeeper Elizabeth Balgoyen recorded eight saves for the Penguins.

Army tallied 19 shots and 10 shots on goal while the Penguins mustered just two total shots.

The Penguins host St. Mary's (Calif.) on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
